Does it work with Ableton Live Standard or Intro?

Photism is a Max for Live device, so you need Live Suite (any recent version) or Live Standard with the Max for Live add-on.

Do I need a Mac?

No. Photism runs on both macOS and Windows. You need Ableton Live Suite, or Standard with the Max for Live add-on.

Can I automate the visuals from my arrangement?

Yes. The device is sixteen assignable macros, each a real Live parameter. Right-click any control in the panel to map it to a macro, then draw automation on it like any synth knob. Load a preset and every knob follows it.

Will you keep adding new modes and improvements?

Yes. Photism is in active development. New scenes, modes, and palettes land regularly, and every v1.x update is free once you own it.

Can I record the visuals to share?

Yes. Capture clips straight from the renderer with the audio baked in, ready to post or drop into a set.

What if I lose my download link?

Get it back any time at photism.app/redownload. Enter the email you bought with and the link comes right back. It is permanent and always serves the latest build.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. Everything runs locally on your machine. The browser renderer talks to the device over localhost. Nothing is streamed or uploaded.

Will it slow down my Live set?

The audio analysis is lightweight and the heavy lifting happens on your GPU in the browser. Most sets see no measurable CPU impact in Live.
